## The Idea ##
In games, you should only be able to have 5(this is just an idea, could be more or less) free models, and you have to give credit to their creator. This would discourage free-modeled places. Nowadays, most people just use free models instead of working on their game themselves and learning to script.
## How it Would Work ##
When you put more than 5(or other limit) free models in your place, you are told to do your own work on your place or change your free models. Also, whenever you insert a free model, the name and creator is on the page of the game so everyone knows you used a free model and the creator is given credit. People will be embarrassed that they ha to use a nubbish free model in order to have a cool place, and put more effort in by themselves. People don't like free modeled games. Only exception would be Catalog Heaven.

I don't support due to new players needing guidelines to build. A new player may want to just construct a place out of models that he finds unique and useful, this would endanger that.

No support free models are meant to help people with building their game and the creator of the model is giving there model away for a reason

No support. People can do what they want with freemodels. Now someone claiming a freemodel theirs that they've not even made by themselves, or perhaps not giving credit to the original creator, thats another story. Not only, but the 'Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down' option is now available.

I disagree with this. I use free models occasionally, and my place is 98% made by me.

I am not about to give credit to someone who uploaded a model of a ROBLOX created hat that I wanted to put in my game, like WTH.

No support, if someone makes a game out of free models and people actually want to play it, let them.

They are free models after all, the creaters of the models knew anyone could use them without giving credit.

If you have a problem with these games, don't play them.

There is a wiki, scripting helpers forum, and a group dedicated to teaching scripted. Although there should be more tutorials and stuff. They should learn instead of using free models all the time. Although "Get Rid of Some Models" would only happen when you publish, so you can look at how they are made and learn some stuff.

No support.

Many users learn to script from reading the scripts in free models. They insert the model, see something like "Woah, that's cool!" and want to know how it works. They read the scripts and see things like "If, Then, Else, Workspace.(model).(part), getChildren," and other scripting things.

They read them and eventually realize that the script codes make sense, and become future builders themself.

And here's a game idea that contradicts this.
What if I wanted to display all of my own retextures of hats and my favorite other hat retextures, and all the ones users got published on display?

A "Retexture Museum" Wouldn't work well with that.

No. It is the creator's choice to use them or not, and the model maker's choice to make it public or not.

Look it's not completely the noob's fault that they are dumb/don't know much. They either just joined Roblox or they are young, ETC.

You don't need free models to learn scripting, and you can look at how they work without publishing the place to roblox without giving the creators credit when most people let others build the game for them. I'm not saying get rid of them, just limit use.

Yes, they can do tutorials, but I've found looking at scripts inside models has helped me learn more about scripting than LuaLearners has taught me about it. Also whenever I debug a script to do something, I look at other scripts that does the same thing as mine to figure out what I'm doing wrong, rather than getting somebody else doing it.

Also, another way I use Free Models for is for brick/mesh packs, and building tools. Hell, you need Free Models to get any* building tools not created by Roblox!

Finally, if a whole place is Free Models, then just down vote it!

All in all, I don't support this suggestions.

No support. I like looking at models to see how they work. So has every great robloxian. Limiting use will make productiin of great robloxians less. What if I wanted to make a museum on the history of roblox models? No. Make this be the last post, if you post, I WILL FOREVER SHUN YOU.

@Aka, I know but that was just an added example to amplify my reasoning.

Limiting use would just be plain stupid. I know that I could write a book called "101 ways to learn Lua" if I want to, but free models are one of them. Few people stay free modelers. Sadly I know one person who did for years and apparently always wants to but it's his choice to use free models and his choice to not learning how to make anything on his own.

You don't need to limit them.

And just an add-on to your comment:

"...and you can look at how they work without publishing the place to roblox without giving the creators credit when most people let others build the game for them. I'm not saying get rid of them, just limit use."

How on earth will limiting them make more people give credit, and how are the two relevant in any way? :|

No support. How did I learn to script? Free models. After using for a few months I picked up some Lua skills. Then thanks to the object browser, my skill is enhanced further.

@Model museum people
1.Look at the model and see how it works and all the properties
2. Then delete the model
3. Make it again.
4. BAM! You didn't use a free model to publish your place! You made it yourself!

@Ketteh do you need to publish the place to ROBLOX to be able to read the scripts in a model?

Nobody is listening. You areall saying "We can't look at them to see how they work if they are deleted." Did I say to delete them from ROBLOX? No. I said "you cannot publish a place with more than 5 free models in it."
