I used to be a regular here. I joined years ago when the engine was somehow less buggy and things were simpler. I loved making games (and apparently not finishing them) on Roblox because it is so easy. I don't have to worry about my terrible art skills because everything is blocky and doesn't require fancy textures to look nice. Over time I got bored with Roblox and realized there isn't a real gain. How is virtual currency going to help me in life? So from there I went on to explore Java programming and GameMaker. Although they both have the capabilities to make huge and even commercial projects, it is nowhere as easy to work on something alone. And that is why I'm back at square one. I'd rather easily do something with valueless, but existing, reward than work ridiculously hard for everything or nothing.
TL;DR Roblox is easy as pi. Everything else requires art skills and bunches of time. |

Pi is by no means simple. |

It's not about the money,
it's about sending a message.. |

"It's as easy as you make it." Great point.
And I guess you're right about the experience, but it'd be nice to get some reward for the time I put into something. |

If you want a reward then use something besides Roblox That's exactly why I don't bother making games; because there's no real-life benefit |

^ And then you'll meet people who want to actually improve their skills of being a programmer and whatnot lol and who cries about how roblox taught them alot.
(Not me)
No, it's not biology or psychology, it's oreology. The study of attraction. |

| The real-life benefits you'll gain from making games on ROBLOX are the skills and experience which can eventually lead to a job. |

@Sera
Actually, they're the skills that get you to the door of an over-priced institution that has a habit of blowing its own feet off. :o |
