| You arrive in the bustling town of Winketh Wall, a small hub outside of the dungeon mounds with the diverse and heroic population of 27. Most men are at the Bald Pig at this hour. Where would you like to go? |

I'd like to explore my first dungeon, but I suppose that is out of the question?
I guess find where I'll be staying. |

Easy there, kemosabe. You go to the Bald Pig to check in.
As you enter, you notice that the room is wreathed in smoke. Men are laughing loudly over mugs and greasy-looking food. A young, confused-looking woman picks her way through the tables, serving people. A fat woman at the counter accepts your payment and shows you your room. If you would like to check out the dungeons now, you can. You have no money as of yet to buy anything. |

After being pointed in the right direction, you enter the dungeons.
Some time later...
You see a black, rectangular opening before you. Darkness enshrouds everything beyond. Beside you is a torch in a bracket. |

Some poor fellow must have been tasked with keeping the way clear for dungeoneers. Oh well.
You step forward carefully, the torch held out. You're in a completely straight stone hallway, darkness enshrouding it a few feet before your face. You hear some sort of scrabbling ahead, then it falls silent. Completely. Something isn't right. |

[Lucky for you, there's only two traps on this hall.]
You stop cold, a slight chill running up your spine. You halted an inch - a mere inch! - from a think black wire. It ran straight across the room horizontally, but appeared to have no connection to the walls. |

Haha, stupid trap. Thinking you can fool THIS guy. As if.
I stepped over it and continued on my merry way. |

The scrabbling noises continue. You raise your battleaxe as you carry on your merry way. You begin to notice strange scratchings in the walls, odd stick figures and words in a language you can't decipher. |

You suddenly notice several sets of eyes in the darkness ahead. Glowing, yellow eyes. Voices speak in whispers, though they whisper so loud that you can clearly overhear.
"Big thing."
"It good eat?"
"Too hard. Beat it up."
Being accustomed to strange things and mysterious dangers, you aren't filled with fear, but you still take a step backwards. |

Goblins. Only little dungeon cretin that have glowing eyes that I know of.
"Come out little goblins.." I said in a tune like voice, "Come out and plaaa-AY!" |

"He play with us?"
"Dunno. Sound dumb."
They move out, collectively, into the light. A particular ratty bunch. 16 of them, you realize, doing a quick count. They're armed with bits of stone from the hallway or small bronze knives and swords. |

"I'm pleased you have arrived. Just enough to make myself a good SUPPER." I grinned at them, raising my axe in the air.
I had fear factor, I knew that much. |

The goblins stumbled over each other. A big one, with fancy copper ear hoops, yelled, "GET THING!" and they charged.

[this next part just let it be a cool auto work for fun]
I also grabbed a Goblin and threw him onto the wire. |

You kill three goblins with your first stroke. The rest hiss fearfully. The goblin you grab screeches as he snaps the wire. The ceiling and floor crash together to turn his dazed form into juice. A goblin throws his rock at your head, and it makes you a bit dizzy.

You kill two more, causing five to stumble back. One, in his haste, pushes a torch bracket that is covered his symbols. It retracts into the wall.
"Uh oh," says the goblin, "I touch Fire Tooth!"
A metal cage lowers over the five fleeing goblins. They begin to scream and pound the bars. The wall opens on either end of the hallway, and searing flames bust forward, frying the goblins. The smell of burned flesh is prominent immediately. |

The other six are now scattered, fleeing and screaming. You kill them all with ease.
Loot: 87 Gold
As you continue on, you notice that the fire trap burned something else. A stone-colored tarp is smoldering on the wall. It had blended in perfectly before now. |
