I think this rating system could be severely abused. Roblox needs to remember just how well comments have gone.
Anyone and everyone can rate a game inaccurately for reasons other than the game itself. And Roblox has no way to stop that. Oh wow, you have to play it first. Click play, wait a minute, close it. Not so hard. Do that with a ton of alternate accounts or a group and the ratings could become extremely biased.
Smaller games could have a hard time taking off just because some people give it negative ratings, thus costing it a chance at ever becoming popular. Saying a game is just good or bad doesn't give any feedback to the owner.
A game that is still under development could get down-voted to oblivion just because it looks broken and pointless. You can say "Still under development" in the description, but half of this community doesn't read the descriptions. Can you make the game inactive and work on it to prevent this? No, of course not! Even if you did, inactive games can still get ratings!
This system has too many holes in it. |

Please remember if people take it off, it means it's a fake game.
No support. You hate change. |

No, that doesn't mean that it is a fake game, it could mean that the game is under development.
Read the entire post before you make any comments about me, directly.
Many people have games specifically for testing new things. These games can appear broken and thus get downvotes.
And, of course, attempting to justify anything in the description is pointless, as many people don't read the description. They will just jump on the bandwagon and vote with the popular opinion. |
