Yeah they're selling out ATM, but only because they are OP, lets look at their attendance figures when they weren't stacked;
2007-08: 19th in attendance 2006-07: 29th in attendance 2005-06: 29th in attendance 2004-05: TIED FOR DEAD LAST IN ATTENDANCE HOLY CRAP111111 (lol) 2003-04: 27th in attendance 2002-03: 24th in attendance 2001-02 (WHEN THEY MADE THE PLAYOFFS): 23rd in attendance 2000-01: 24th in attendance
Hey I hate to brag, but, I know tg is going to say "lul da flyrz sux1", and even though we haven't won a Cup since 1975, lets look at our attendance figures:
THIS YEAR WHEN WE WERE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE: 4th in attendance 2011-12: 3rd in attendance 2010-11: 3rd in attendance 2009-10: 4th in attendance 2008-09: 4th in attendance 2007-08: 4th in attendance 2006-07 WHEN WE HAD POSSIBLY THE WORST NHL SEASON ANY TEAM HAD THE DECADE: 7th in attendance 2005-06: 4th in attendance 2004-05: OGM TYD 4 FURST IN ATNDNZ111111111111111111 2003-04: 4th in attendance 2002-03: 3rd in attendance 2001-02: 3rd in attendance 200-01: 3rd in attendance
So while we may be terrible, our fans > yours still.

You do know that Chicago consistently missed playoffs 2002-2008. While Philadelphia made the playoffs each time during that stretch except once? common sense pls

| 1 missed playoff surrounded by lots of playoffs. Meanwhile Chicago had a stretch of worst in the west, 2nd worst in west and 3rd worst in west. |

@zim: The Leafs were terrible for a while, yet they still consistently topped attendance charts, if Chicago loves hockey, they would have supported the 'Hawks even when they sucked.

| I hate it when you go by rankings for total attendance... This year the Sharks sold out every single game, but ranked 16th overall because HP is one of the smaller arenas in the NHL. |

@donny: Attendance is actually a very complicated thing to rank TBH.
You have total, average and percent, all are very different but very important.

| You should go by percent for the most part. |

Sharks fans are weird.
Back in 2003-2004, they had their only season where they only averaged below 16,900. They made their first conference final, yet drew only 15,800 a game.
All other seasons have been in the low to mid 17ks. Where the capacity plateaus. |

In that case, the Flyers are even better.

thats not judgeable
A.) size difference.
B.) Bandwagon Fans.
C.) City Size.
D.) Amount of people that can/cant afford to go.
F.) People that go or not because of whatever reason. (i.e. has season tickets, family member is ill, dosnt go)
