plus, with regards to post count, it may not show quality
what it shows is contribution and experience
quality =/= contribution quantity = contribution
whether the contribution is positive or negative doesn't change the fact that one contributed
i would rather have a really active, less tl;dr forum than a slow, dead tl;dr everywhere forum
in other words i would rather have lots of mediocre with some exceptional and some exceptional and little mediocre
also just because a phrase/quote sounds catchy/wise doesn't mean its true
it means you're a hipster
signatures are stupid |

| But would you rather see a user who posts a bunch of spam for a high post count or a user who might have fewer posts but have higher-quality responses to the topic? |

A lot of smaller posts can very well be meaningless. So if they're running around and spamming meaningless/pointless posts then overall that mass of posts is a waste of time.
As for quality, a proper response can actually be considered as useful under many circumstances. Especially with developing ideas. A few good ideas is better than a mass of rubbish ones. |

| Tate, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's 5 - 23 or something like that; however, the posts where people put really short and almost certainly meaningless messages? Some people only care about their post count instead of the quality of their posts. |

Either way, counting games are a waste and people use them just to try and show off post counts.
In any case, they don't just do it on one thread so actually they do spam each number. |

Tate, something like 20k of Ventus' posts were in forum games number counting from what I heard from a lot of people. On top of that, mos t of his posts are short/pointless.
I mean, posting a number or saying tl;dr? There's no point in those. |

i would honestly rather have someone with 50k posts and doesnt post 5 paragraphs per post than someone with 10 posts but each post was 10,000 words
signatures are stupid |

Which every single one of those 50k posts could very well be say, counting to 10,000 or saying tl;dr on every thread with a long post.
It doesn't need to be some huge posts but just saying an abbreviation or a number? lmao The post count is an additional feature which isn't necessary. Believe that worthless five and under word/number posts are better all you like; however, I'd prefer decent posts rather than junk and I'm sure many would think the same. |

Jan, you've obviously been dreaming again. :P
Masses of posts may prove you're highly active on the forums yet it can easily mean that a lot of those posts aren't worth the effort to read them. A set of proper responses though? I think I've made my point here. |
