This feature will attempt to save the place if ROBLOX Studio crashes.

I think this would be really complicated to make for ROBLOX Developers. But with automated backups (With the new powerful binary saving), this could be possible!
And I agreed it's annoying when you do lots of work and ROBLOX Studio crash, and that you forgot to save.

Binary saving isn't new.

Support; There is no problem when it crashes because if you didn't want it to save them you could just go configure the place and reset it back to the previous save.

A crash means it crashes and doesn't save.. It would have to always be saving for this to happen like on iMovie. Support!

For this it would have to be autosaving. Ever hear of the freeze frame of death? Its a thing that happens in minecraft because it auto-saves every 2 seconds. Saving can cause a lot of lag. This would probably cause a lot of lag when using studio. If you can find a way to make it not lag, go ahead, but otherwise no support. |

I never lag on iMovie, and it's always saving... Actually I think it changes stuff real time, it doesn't even save then add, it just is already there. I doubt there would be a lot more lag then there is right now.

@Kekli isn't the place still in memory when ROBLOX crashes? so how about if it attempts to dump the memory into a file and once you open up studio, you can select the file you dumped to retrive the place.

I don't know if this is possible or not because the whole point of crashes is that things stop working but, if ROBLOX could do it, I would be the happiest builder alive.
One thing though, it shouldn't try to overwrite the original file but save as something like "PLACENAME - Recovered" otherwise it could be even worse.
You have my support.

Support if when you exit, you have an option to make the autosaves count or not. A lot of times, RS gets glitchy and stuff gets all over the place, and that is the stuff I don't want to save.
