| Russian Revolution is just as bad as Vaktovian Empire. |

| Technically that's the same thing as the Russian Revolution. There was a Russian Revolution of 1905 but the one I was talking about was the 1917 one. |

If you like state terror and no political or economic freedoms, then yes it was very good.

I actually liked some of Lenin's policies ok. He even initiated small-scale capitalism in NEP (New Economic Policy) to save the Russian economy.
But after Lenin, no, not at all. Even the Tsar was better. |

Not really. Although, that is sort of exactly what I said, because after Lenin Stalin took control.
But even Lenin was a murder. |

| Lenin and Stalin (primarily the latter) bastardized Marxism to the point that Americans still struggle to differentiate communism from authoritarianism. |

^ Agreed. Although Lenin did want free intelligent discussion in the Soviet government.

| I don't. To put it into today's context, American neo-conservatives get a large portion of their general doctrine off of Trotsky. |

| Actually, I remember hearing that Lenin took away the right of freedom of speech. He wasn't all that good, but Stalin was worse. The Communists had the right ideas, but they put them into practical use the wrong way. |

It was good until Stalinism came into play. As he killed tons of innocent people an even blacked out his most popular General Gorgey Zhukov because, he was 'to popular'.
But, it was better then the Tsars. Even with Stalinism the tsars were horrible and the revolution was better then what Russians had to put up with. |

| We are lucky Stalin was there though. Because, without him putting the right people into power militarily. ("Zhukov, Konev, Rokossovky and others") Hit-- could he took over all of Europe. |

| The Bolsheviks basically took away freedom of speech and introduced many old practices which the Tsars used. Conscription was back. Old officers were back. The Bolsheviks replaced the Tsar and Nobility. |

| Conscription was probably necessary in their situation as they wanted to spread the Revolution everywhere in at least Europe. |

| I mean, a lot of people were oppressed under the tsars. Actually, Stalin was more fascist than communist in my opinion. Just think about it. |
