Don't listen to Rampage. Windows 7 is a better OS by far, and RAM speed is irrelevant unless you're overclocking. |

"Slow RAM, no need for Win 7, get Windows 8."
Why on EARTH would I pay the same price to get my beloved start menu removed?
I don't care for any of those start menu replacements people have developed, and the metro is beyond horrible, especially since it can't be customized to your personal liking(unless you pay stardock just to get "custom metro wallpapers")
oh and added custom parts for the lels : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/15OnN |

| You can get rid of the rest of the parts and play TF2 on the toaster oven. |

Microsoft stated they are creating a update to Windows 8 that brings back the classic desktop. Also, Windows 8 has more features that 7 doesn't. Such as Picture Pa$$words, and more RAM than Home Premium. It's the same price, and Direct X 11.1 is coming for Windows 8...Less RAM consumption, and it makes games run slightly faster. |

IMO might be worth it to drop the SSD and get a 7970(possibly GE)
you can always upgrade to the SSD later on, but it's just not really worth it in my opinion

"Slow RAM"
1333 isn't slow. RAM speed matters very little for most applications. |

You haven't seen the boot times an SSD can offer |

"RAM speed matters very little for most applications."
For gaming it actually pretty much doesn't matter at all. The only thing that actually takes advantage of faster RAM is running an APU, in which they tend to get around 7FPS more at 1866Mhz than 1333Mhz

I have and I still don't feel them needed I rarely actually shut down my PC so it's not really a problem

Depends on the graphic memory. In this case, 2gb is a lot of it; the use of RAM for graphics applications won't be required, so this is correct |

"I have and I still don't feel them needed"
Depends. I wanted to make my computer fast on boot up > got a £40 SSD
And plus you can open games instantly as soon as the desktop loads
And plus with a $200 dollar graphics card, upgrading it would be redundant for almost all games, even on ultra settings |

also considering next-gen consoles are running on what are essentially modified amd jaguar processors, next-gen games may be better optimized for amd
