Oh yeah, this also proves the nation's growing interest in the sport;
The match that broke the record was just three days ago.
Keep in mind this was just for a friendly.

Rugby in the USA is growing Sir, you can't deny it.
Let's see all the numbers: -350% increase of rugby participation between 2004-2011 -USA ahead of traditional rugby nations like Scotland and Wales in registered player numbers -Increased television coverage of rugby -Attendance massively increased for USA 7s tournament (from 15,800 in 2004 to 64,107 in 2012) |

| Even though you are probably right about 45% attendance in a 100,000 seat stadium unless it was like the Rugby World Cup or something like that. |

"64,107 for a Rugby tournament is not much at all. For the United States, it could be impressive, depending on how many games were played in the tournament. Under 10 games, it's impressive. 10+ no it is not."
That's more than the 7s World Series tournaments in South Africa, Australia and Scotland.
"I have the 1000 channel package on DirecTV (something like that) and I can never find a Rugby game, even time to time at 3 AM You were saying?"
The USA Sevens in 2012 had higher ratings than an NHL game and 5 college basketball games. 2011 was the first time the RWC was ever broadcast live in the United States, with NBC going to broadcast the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Fox Soccer Plus has had multiple leagues around the world shown, such as the English Premiership, and Pro 12. ESPN3 has the French Top 14.
