This is the official officer Guide for all officers on His Majesty's Ship of the Line Eideteker. This rules apply for all Officers aboard the HMS Eideteker. The officers have to know these rules well because they are, sometimes, a little different from the 'regular' or 'common' rules who apply for all members of the Royal Britannia Robloxian Navy. ______________________________________________________________________
First of all, welcome to the HMS Eideteker! In this guide you, as Officer aboard the HMS Eideteker, will learn everything you need to know about our ship, your jobs as Officers and such. Also, I'd like to recommend you to know the regular Articles of War as well (http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=97174141). These rules are the basement for every single crew of His Majesty's navy, besides, these rules are already to be known by any officer, weather Flag- or Commanding-Officer.
Table of contents: 1. Regular Rules. 2. Different jobs of the Officers. 3. High Officers. 4. Current Officers. ______________________________________________________________________
1. Regular Rules Important to know is that the Articles of War (main rules for all of RBRN) count for all her crews and ship as well. Though, there are some little changes I'd like to tell and explain to you.
1.1 You, as Officer, are official allowed to argue with your superior. I do not mind you take your own rights upon chase by arguing with me, Rear Admiral Sebastian, or Captain Edward. Though, if you make it too worse (during the quarrel or argue) punishment might follow according to the regular Articles of War. Ultimately, you can come up for yourself.
1.2 As Officer you have your duties to prefill aboard a ship. In content 2 you will hear what the exact jobs of the different officers are. Important to know is that once you do not prefill this duty well you are to be punishment or even exiled based on how bad your act is. Though, you always have the right to argue about this as told in article 1.1.
1.3 Besides you have duties to prefill and have freedom of speech you will have the rights to report your lowers. You're not to punish them by yourself, instead, you will have to report the person in question to Captain Edward or Rear Admiral Sebastian. You can attend the person in question on his or her act, though you're not to punish him/her all by yourself. You're, of course, in duty of your superiors. ______________________________________________________________________
2. Different jobs of the Lieutenants. As the most know, there are several 'ranks' under the name of Officer. t most ships you have a first, second, third and fourth Lieutenant. Four Lieutenant is the maximum in our navy and that is why, in case an Officer doesn't prefill his or her duties, you'll be replaced. We've already seen this a few times. The jobs of the different Lieutenant are as follows (this is a generally used division):
First Lieutenant: Driver of the ship, usually the most senior Officer (Lieutenant), he or she commands only the Boatswain who drives of drives himself.
Second Lieutenant: Generally some less senior though he/she is good in his/her duties. He/She will make sure to keep order on a ship. Suppose a mad Seaman is making trouble, the second Lieutenant will keep order aboard the ship.
Third Lieutenant: Commander of the broad-sides. He/She will command the gunners and cannons. A gunner is to listen to the third Lieutenant for orders unless the Captain or Admiral gives command to fire (what would be a very special occasion).
Fourth Lieutenant: He/She is the reserve Lieutenant. Suppose one of the other Lieutenant was killed during performing his/her duties, the fourth Lieutenant will take over his/her place at the ship's going. Why is this duty given to the fourth Lieutenant? Because this is the most junior Lieutenant aboard the ship. He/She will have to prove he/she is worthy to serve at the HMS Eideteker! Suppose the fourth Lieutenant does good, he or she might be promoted.
Notice that none of the Lieutenants, although there's a difference in status between the different Lieutenants, has the right to command another Lieutenant! Only the Captain and the Admiral are to command the Lieutenant. Lieutenant may, however, correct each other's mistakes. ______________________________________________________________________
3. High Officers. At our ship, commanded by Captain Edward (Sir Jiskpirate) we have two special occasions! Firstly, I, Admiral Sebastian, am Grand-Captain of the HMS Eideteker. The HMS Amsterdam (former ship of Captain Jiskpirate) and the HMS Eideteker (at that time commanded by Commodore Megabassy12) were merged together into one big crew under the name of the HMS Eideteker.
Ultimately, the Officers have rights to command the non-commissioned people, the Captain has rights to command the Officers as well as the non-commissioned people and finally me, the Grand-Captain is helping and commanding the regular-Captain. Though, the Captain leads the ship completely, the Admiral is only the helper (you could say: mentor) of the Captain.
Besides, Commodore unit582 is the group holder of our HMS Eideteker group. He's to be respected though he hasn't anything to do with the whole going around the HMS Eideteker. He's a good friend of the Admiral and that is why I asked him to make me a group for my lovely crew. May God bless him. ______________________________________________________________________
4. Current Officers This is the topical part of this Guide. All officers (who should read this very carefully!) have to send me, Admiral Sebastian (megabassy12) the following list with questions. Also to join, this is required. Notice that I won't take any new Lieutenants unless there's a Lieutenant spot open!
(Notice I used myself as example!)
Name: Sir Sebastian Martin-Preven II Rank: Rear Admiral of the Blue Squadron
Experience: I've been in the navy for a year, served under Commodore unit582 for a few months and learned everything from him. I've commanded my own crew for a few month and I have experience in leading Flotillas/Small Fleets. ______________________________________________________________________
And finally then, I wish you the best luck at the HMS Eideteker! God bless and may you serve the HMS Eideteker well! Rule Britannia! Rule RBRN! Rule the HMS Eideteker! |
