I cant stand that when ever i re size a block it will go to Custom block format I hate it ROBLOX should make a earlier version option because honestly i cannot stand this new studio i was planning to make a new car game but started to mess around and also the new studio takes up allot of CPU usage i find it very hard on my AMD Phenom and 2 GB pf DDR3 ram to even get lucky if it runs fast 10-20 FPS money is hard to come by. As i was saying though this new studio is very Power taking its to modern it needs some roots or some settings to set in-case i don't want something to happen. In my experience I just can barley stand this new studio i dont like the look of it its SLOW it reset my setup that i was comfortable with. Please ROBLOX i beg of you can we have a older version of 1.0 maybe 1.0.5 |

Im not sure if it's demanding. All I know is that a lot of my CPU usage is high too, when I open any ROBLOX related thing. I have about the same computer specs as you, with 2 GB of RAM and an AMD processor (not sure which one lol).
However, long as it doesn't reduce performance of the computer severely, I don't really care that much. I only use a few windows at a time, if you use more, you may need to get a new computer that is more powerful.
The reason why when you resize a block it will go to custom is because you have the magnet things at 1/5 of a stud, or no studs. Change it to 1 stud and the resize tool will resize bricks by 1 stud again like normal. The old ROBLOX Studio had 2 drag, resize, and rotate tools, one that goes with the magnets, and one that by default is 1. They took down the default ones because it was a waste of space and confusing having 2 of the same tools.
The new ROBLOX Studio loads faster then the old one, this may be why it is more demanding, it needs more stuff to load faster or something lol.
There is also a Collision Check tool that allows you to CFrame faster, and automatic underlining of code that is incorrect for scripters. The Basic Objects Panel lets you insert Basic Objects faster then the old Insert-Object.
I think the new Studio is better. Most of the bugs have been fixed, and it has several features that allow faster building and scripting.

@Ba
It may be slower for you specifically, but it overall is a lot faster. I know becuase I use it on multiple computers with different specs so I know its overall performance on different computers.
