[INTRODUCTION]
Vitayu, soldiers of Synoa.
As some of you may have no doubt noticed, RAA has been going through some major renovations recently. This includes the demotion of many former high ranks and soldiers to start fresh on a new slate. Due to this, I will be drafting a new set of conditions of service for the members of RAA to abide by.
This thread will be divided into several sections to cover different topics and such, it is for your benefit that you read all of this, for your future in RAA will be expanded greatly if you know and abide by these rules fully.

[ SECTION I - ON-DUTY & OFF-DUTY ]
Since it appears that some members of RAA do not currently understand that they are on-duty when they wear an RAA uniform and are patrolling one of RAA's bases, I will fully outline how to know when you are on-duty and when you are off-duty, and how to act in both situations.
[ ON-DUTY ]
You are on duty if:
- You are in uniform - You are at any RAA related fort, training, or most events (such as a raid) - You are talking on the group wall - Representing RAA
When you are on-duty, you are expected to follow ALL of the rules and guidelines of RAA, or you will receive consequences, severity dependent on what you have done. While I will be lax on grammar, you are expected NOT to goof off and joke around exorbitantly when on-duty.
[ OFF-DUTY ]
You are off duty if:
- You are out of uniform - At RAA hangout areas - Not at any RAA fort, training, or events - Not representing RAA
When you are off-duty, you are permitted to do as you wish within reason. If you do something that reflects badly on RAA or its members, that is not considered off-duty and you will receive punishment. When you are on the forums, and representing RAA, that qualifies as on-duty, so keep it professional on those threads, otherwise you can do as you wish.

[ SECTION II - DISCIPLINE ]
With the institution of these new rules, the word discipline will begin to ring in people's heads soon enough. When you are speaking to a higher ranked superior, you are to refer to him or her as sir or ma'am, unless they say otherwise, this is formal military addressing methods, and is considered respectful. If you are speaking to a lower-ranked soldier, you may refer to him or her by his or her rank, or name.
You are, at all times, obliged to obey your superior's orders. You are not expected to question your superior's orders, unless, by chance, they breach the rules. You are also expected to wear the RAA uniform and your rank pin (unless they are not available) at all times while on-duty. To wear the uniform of RAA is an honor, and you should be glad to serve in such a clan.
On a final note, you are expected to remain professional and mature at all times while on-duty. This means, you do not taunt the enemy, you do not act like a fool and mess around, keep joking to a minimal, keep arguments private, and act polite and respectful.
____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________
[ SECTION III - ORGANIZATION ]
During a raid, or during a defense, it is always important to remain organized and in-touch with your teammates. As such, you are expected to utilize team-chat to effectively coordinate tactics with your fellow Synoans to smash the enemy. You are also expected to constantly pay attention to the global/team chat for the orders of your superior so that you may always be aware of your officer's orders.
I cannot stress the importance of keeping in touch to coordinate together, as it improves the effectiveness of even the most ill-trained soldiers into a feasible force. During raid rallies, it is recommended to all set your pages for one server until everyone is ready, and immediately strike on one targeted server.
____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________
[ SECTION IV - CHAIN OF COMMAND ]
With the imminent arrival of new officers and such, it is important members understand how the chain of command will work. From here on, only Officers and higher are permitted to host raids. Solo-raiding must be permitted by an Officer or higher beforehand, or will be rendered illegal and you will receive consequences. Also, from here on in, Enforcers and lower do not have the ability to command soldiers that are lower in rank then themselves.
So, if you are a Commando or higher, and you enter a server that has no member higher in rank than you, you are permitted to take command of the defense until a superior arrives. All members are subject to the orders of the Second in Command (2iC) of RAA, who is in turn, subject to the orders of the leader of RAA.
____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________
[ SECTION V - FLAMING ]
If you already got this far, it should be clear that you are expected to keep it professional while on duty, and not to do anything that reflects badly on RAA. Flaming reflects us badly.
As such, there is zero tolerance of it, period.
____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________
[ SECTION VI - PROMOTIONS ]
If you wish to succeed in RAA, it is obvious that you must firstly abide by these rules and guidelines. However, there are many things you can do to earn a promotion. It is frowned upon to pester a superior for a promotion, and you can be punished for it if you do so repeatedly.
Getting a promotion from Soldier to Warrior will be systematic, however. You will be required to achieve a 2:1 ratio at Fort Polaris (or the current active military installation), screenshot it, and send it to an officer. It is important to note, that you cannot be promoted without providing proof to your superior, taking screenshots and recording videos are considered viable proof.
Promotions can be earned in the following ways:
- Attending numerous raids and defenses - Patrolling the base - Respect your superiors - Attend numerous training sessions - Show exemplary skill - Act professional and mature
____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________
[ MISCELLANEOUS ]
All of the rules and guidelines in this thread are official, however new rules may not be present until the addition of a new thread pertaining to these conditions. As such, if you think something is against the rules, ask your fellow members or a superior.
Hail Synoa, Admiral Sorlor [Xalvaiytor]

"is this a rip off of vaks?"
Clearly.
A list of definitive rules attempting to instill discipline and order must be a rip-off of VAK. |

Pro ally could have defined Chain of Command better. Other than that, you did a very good job or writing this.

I really like the part where it says "communicate more". We've been lacking that lately, and I am one to plan my tactics, so I am a go for this.
