It's nice, if your actually good at it. If you have a hard opponent, its boring. |

I'm decent at the game but the computer always beats me I don't know what possesses me to use pawns as bait as they're actually pretty useful

"man those things are killer"
I know. After a while I can put the king in check but either a queen, rook, bishop, or knight captures that piece. I can delay my king's demise but not checkmate the computer

well you know how when you make one of those plays that can turn the match around for you, you really only had the time to prevent against one outcome, right? Well, that's what happens with me. Until it actually happens, I can't see the flaws in my plan, especially considering that knights can jump pieces.

make sure to set up your defense and to support all of your dominant pieces while simultaneously putting pressure on the enemy
if you can stay up in material until the endgame you have a good chance of mate |

what is a dominant piece again i remember reading somewhere that i should develop my pieces, not my pawns please explain to me a little bit i've never played against a real person to put pressure on it's why the computer always beats me, it doesn't have emotions

i just meant dominant as in controlling the board you dont wanna sac a piece to take a useless trapped enemy bishop you use pawns to put pressure on the enemy position and protect pieces develop knights before bishops yadda yadda |

yeah a knight in the center of the board is more powerful than a bishop in the center of the board a bishop can only go diagonally over white or black spaces a knight can jump pieces and move backwards, forwards, and to the side
