[[[1]-Shadow Prestige-]]]
This system being put in place works directly through a prestige [Shadow Prestige] based system. This system will be hard to adapt to since you will not be able to earn promotions just for one good deed, but we encourage all members of Shadow Recon to give this system time to become effective, so that there are enough High Ranks to enable all those who deserve Shadow Prestige to be able to receive it. If you have any questions about the new system, please do not hesitate to contact any Overseers or myself.

[[1a]-Earning Shadow Prestige-]]
There are a number of ways in which members are able to gain Shadow Prestige which is then used in order to calculate which rank you are eligible to be rewarded with because of your hard work and determination. Shadow Prestige can of course be achieved through training sessions if there is a superior rank holding the training, which will of course make the training 'Official'. They may also be achieved if you are able to demonstrate about the values which SR takes into account, and the kindness which you show to members who are in need of your help such as your general experience in situations which are causing confusion to those new members, or just how helpful and active you are on the Shadow Recon wall can determine how much Shadow Prestige you are eligible for. Shadow Prestige may also be earned by acting mature whilst on duty and providing support to lower ranks when they're in need. Shadow Prestige can furthermore be earned by successfully dealing with a situation which has occurred. The most common way of gaining Shadow Prestige is through attending trainings. Furthermore, if SR happens to find itself in a war, then all those who are able to take part and are found doing so will also be rewarded with the necessary Shadow Prestige as a token of thanks from SR High Ranks. Listed below are a few basic things which you will need to take into account when thinking about Shadow Prestige:
-Never ask for Shadow Prestige, instead let people who can award Sp, award it to those who deserve it, instead of those who ask. -Do not show off about the number of Shadow Prestige you have, or any others for that matter, as you can lose it easier than what you gained it. -Please do not try and attempt to lie about the number of Sp you had if we have to revert the infocenter to a previous save, as anyone found lying will lose a lot more Sp than they would have lost through the revert. -You can earn it by attending trainings which are Official. -You can also earn it by attending defenses at our Forts if a superior rank is there, or if you are recommended numerous times. -You are able to earn Shadow Prestige by attempting an event/contest. -Being active and helping out those who require help on the wall. -If you are constantly active and helping out new members who are there by enforcing the SR values and rules, then you will receive Sp. -Also if you attend regular SR meetings when everyone is able to attend, and give valid and suitable contributions, you will in turn also be rewarded with Shadow Prestige.

[[1b]-Removing Shadow Prestige-]]
Along with the ability to award prestige, superior ranks have the ability to remove prestige from members who are found breaking any of the following rules or acting in an inappropriate manor. We encourage all superior ranks to think carefully before removing someones Prestige, and to take into account that we all make mistakes, and often they can be solved with a simple warning, and informing the person in question, how to improve along with reasons why the action which they have taken is not acceptable. The amount of Prestige removed should be, and only be dependent upon the seriousness of the act, not how much you dislike the person in question.
Within Shadow Recon, there are a number of rules which we expect each and every member to follow - In the case these rules are not followed Prestige may be removed, along with the amount dependent upon the seriousness of the act:
-Treat all members with respect, no matter what their rank – Within Shadow Recon, it does not matter what rank a fellow member is, what matters is that you treat that member with full respect, as you would have s/he treat yourself if you were in their position. -Do not lie - Lying about a rank, or something which has not occurred will result in a punishment. We expect each of our members to be honest to both higher ranks and fellow members, as this enables us to reward you with trust, which will enable you to progress within Shadow Recon. Those people who lie, no matter how well they think they have covered their identity, will always be found out, and in the end they will all receive the same harsh consequences that apply to all of those Shadow Recon members who lie. -Do not flame - This is a very simple rule. Within Shadow Recon, we will not tolerate any sort of flaming. This includes flaming fellow SR members, allied clans, neutral clans and even enemy clans. Its not tolerated, as you are not only giving yourself a bad name, and ultimately reputation, but you are also giving Shadow Recon a bad reputation, as you are representing us, not just yourself. -When hosting unofficial training sessions on the wall, do not offer Prestige if you do not have the power to award it. - Prestige is to only be earned through official trainings; anyone who is found to be lying about awarding Prestige will be dealt with in the same way as liars, as you are committing the same action. However, you are also lying to those who are supposed to look up to yourself, and follow your actions, as you are a role model, now that you are a higher rank within Shadow Recon, and therefore you are also providing Shadow Recon with a bad reputation, even though you might not realize it at the time. -Obey and respect your higher authority - when you're given an order you are expected to listen. However, if the order is, in your opinion, something completely unorthodox or corrupt, report it to an Overseer immediately so that the situation can be contained and handled with in the appropriate way. Do not forget that the superior ranks of Shadow Recon have all been a lower rank at some point during their career, so we know how it feels to be at that stage, and therefore we will only have your best interests at heart, even if you do not realize it at that time. So all we ask for is that you trust us in what we do, because we are not doing it to benefit ourselves, but to benefit you and all of the other members within Shadow Recon.

[[[2]-Ranks-]]]
[[2a]-Rank Descriptions-]]
**Keep in mind that a maximum of 4 Shadow Prestige overall may be given per training [there may be exceptions]. They may be given out to whomever you chose however you chose to do it.
-
[1]-Entrance Ranks-] As you are in the entrance ranks you are simply required to be active at outposts, along with committing yourself to trainings. Learn and create new relationships to achieve further progress.
[I] Recruit - [0Sp] Conscripts are our very basic members which have yet to be trained at this rank you’re required to prove yourself. This rank is extremely simple to gain, all it requires is you to join Shadow Recon.
[II] Private - [1Sp] Privates are our new SR troops with basic tasks and duties to perform. Privates have little to no leadership powers when at SR related places or activities. They are a main part of the fighting force for Shadow Recon and are expected to be able to understand basic instructions along with following orders.
[III] Corporal - [3Sp] Corporals are out SR troops who have proven themselves. As a Corporal you’re expected to start learning more about the outside clan world along with understanding the lore behind Shadow Recon. A Corporal is able to understand the basic knowledge behind SR along with being able to interpret instructions in not only a clear but mature manner. Corporals are able to be trusted with basic duties, such as defending a base successfully.
[IV] Specialist - [6Sp] A Specialist's job is extremely simple. At this rank you’re expected to guard our forts a lot more than you have within the previous ranks. Whilst defending you will be required to learn to judge the strength of both your team and your enemies to determine when backup is required. A Specialist can be expected to provide strategic information to superior ranks in order to help ensure success when defending a fort.
-
[2]-Experienced Ranks-] As you have now achieved access into the experience ranks, you are expected to have developed an understanding into what SR stands for, along with a good relationship with your team members, you are a small role-model now.
[V] Sergeant - [10Sp] The job of a Sergeant is taking a Specialist's rank and taking it to the next level. Not only is the Sergeant required to do the jobs of a Specialist, but is also expected to provide information on enemy bases. As a Sergeant you are now beginning to set an example to the entrance ranks of what is expected of them. Be loyal and mature to the people around you, don't be disrespectful to those who are below you just because you are now an 'experienced rank'.
[VI] Lieutenant - [15Sp] As a Lieutenant you will be expected to continue defending our forts whilst providing support to those within the entrance ranks, as with Sergeant you will be required to respect everyone around you, no matter what. Furthermore a Lieutenant should start to be able to improve upon their mistakes on their own, rather than having to be reminded by a higher rank. Remember to have a positive attitude towards other members.
[VII] Major - [21Sp] The job of a Major is where you’re expected to start working on your leadership abilities. Whilst you are this rank you have little power over other members, but the power that you will have will include respect and influence from those who are around you. I would suggest making a good impression while at the rank of a Major, take it upon yourself to help others who are around you, while at the same time providing a moral boost to those near you.
-
[3]-Milestone ranks-] Milestone ranks are those ranks which signify the difference between someone who has leadership responsibilities, and someone who is constructive within Shadow Recon by defending the bases and following orders.
[VIII] Captain - [28Sp] Times have now long gone since you were once that soldier who just listened to orders and had lack of commanding abilities. You are a role model to SR and it's members. A Major might have begun work on how to lead, but you are now expected to know the basics, and then build upon them. Lower rank's will look to you for advice and guidance, and it will be up to you to provide it. Now when you walk into a base, you will be expected to offer strategic advice to Shadow Recon members in order to help them provide a successful defense.
[IX] Officer - [36Sp] Now you have successfully reached the rank of Officer you will be required to take the Leadership Exam. The Leadership Exam includes two sections. The first section involves a series of questions designed to test your abilities to the maximum. The second section will be a practical test which will put the candidate in a training where they can be observed to see how many leadership qualities they have, along with finding out if there is a possibility to build upon them in the future. All superior ranks have the ability to: delete posts on the wall; moderate the wall to make sure all posts continue with the friendly atmosphere, and are relevant; hold official trainings; reward prestige to those below their rank. The Leadership Exam can be found on the account ShadowReconCentral [Shadow Prestige Infocenter] which you are linked to on the wall.
[X] Marshal - [36Sp + Leadership Exam] Now that you've successfully passed your Leadership Exam, you must be elected into the Council. A vote will be held every month or so, & depending on however many Marshals there are, there will be a limit to how many can be elected. Whoever receives the majority of the votes wins the election [exceptions may be made]. Once elected, you will be promoted to the rank of Colonel.
-
[4]-Developer Rank-] This rank represents those who benefit the group by designing clothing, ads, and additional items for the group for little to no cost at all. You can chose to be promoted to this rank if you're in SR, however you cannot be two ranks at once. If you decide to switch back to your original rank from Developer you may. Developers work closely with Internal Affairs & it's minor departments.
[-] Developer - [Design beneficial items for SR] The rank of Diplomat is reserved for those who design clothing, ads, and other items for the group & benefit SR through finances & creativity. If you to not put forth the effort to keep this rank, you will removed from this category.
-
[5]-Diplomatic Rank-] This rank represents our central position in foreign affairs. You can not be promoted to this rank if you are in SR, instead you have to be a representative of our allies in order to gain access to this rank and once your group ceases to function as our ally, you will be removed from this rank.
[-] Diplomat - [Lead/Represent an allied clan] The rank of Diplomat is reserved for those who are leading or directly representing an allied clan of Shadow Recon. Whilst in this rank, you shall have the power to request backup to your groups' forts directly through the group wall. Furthermore while doing this, you're expected to stay mature and set an example of how you wish our members to act whilst providing support. One thing that a Diplomat must remember is that they do not have power over any of our members whilst at SR related forts, when our members are assisting your clan at your forts you shall have direct power over each and every member which comes to assist - this is excluding Council Members and above where instead you are expected to work together with them in order to safely secure your fort.
-
[6]-Council Members-] Congratulations on getting this far. As a Council Member you are almost at the top of SR, and therefore your responsibilities will once again increase, along with your daily workload. However it is not all bad news, as you will be able to help everyone in SR with the powers which you now receive as a Council Member. You keep all of your abilities from previous ranks, and therefore are expected to continue with all of those duties along with your new found ones, such as leading SR members into battle, and being able to organize strategic fights, as long as you get authorization from an Overseer first. You are now the ultimate role model for SR, and therefore all eyes will be on you are you will be expected to represent both SR and all of it's values in every action which you take.
[XI] Colonel - [36Sp + Participate in an election & win] Congratulations! You have been elected by your fellow members to lead SR as a member of the Council! Reaching this rank requires hard work, dedication, maturity, compassion and most of all the ability to admit when you are wrong, rather than trying to pass the blame to others. As a Colonel you are now at the highest rank you can be in SR, without being nominated by the Directors to become one of their Generals, and therefore you will be expected to present the values of Shadow Recon in everything you do, so people are able to understand just what it means to be a true member of Shadow Recon. Although you are not yet have the authority to give members Shadow Points, you can refer them & allow a higher rank to award them. Send your referrals to a higher rank & they will take care of it. You are expected to do everything a Marshal does, along with having excellent communication skills with other members of the Council, which will allow you to contact them when you require their assistance, rather than waiting for someone else to pass the message on.
[XII] General - [36Sp + Be selected by a Director to help assist their department] - There is to be a maximum of nine (9) Generals at any one point [there is the exception to two Directors for a Department], this is due to each Director being able to have one General. The rank of General is one of the hardest ranks to gain within Shadow Recon; you now have the ability to reward Sp to members at training. In order to make sure a member receives his/her Sp, friend and send a PM to ShadowReconCentral consisting of each member who is to be rewarded and how many Sp they are to be rewarded with. Keep in mind that a maximum of 4 Sp can be given per training. You're able to achieve the rank of General by being directly selected by a Director in order to assist them within their jobs. Upon being selected your Director must gain direct confirmation by their Overseer in order to have their decision authorized. As a General you will be required to assist your Director within their specific job, and this way you will be able to focus on one specific part of SR, rather than trying to do more than one job at once which could become confusing, especially for new Generals. Furthermore, you will be able to gain support from your Director on where you're able to improve, from this support we shall expect you to learn from your mistakes, in order to become a better role-model, which will also mean that you will be able to help others who are making the same mistake, and help them correct it before continuing to pass down your teachings. If you are unsure about anything, make sure you contact your Director, rather than doing the wrong thing. We do not mind you coming to your leaders for support, as we believe in everyone making mistakes because it's the only way to improve, so do not be ashamed if you do something wrong.
[XIII] Director – [36Sp + Be assigned a department by the Chairman him/herself] There is to be a maximum of nine (9) Directors at any one given point in time - these will be chosen directly by the Chairman, through recommendations made by the Overseers. Achieving the rank of Director is one of the most challenging things to achieve within Shadow Recon, doing so requires you to be trusted by both the Overseers and the Chairman. Furthermore, in order to gain the rank of Director there must be an open position within the rank as there is a limit of nine (9) Directors at any one given point. In the case you're able to achieve the rank of Director you will be assigned a department along with an Overseer to report to. Along with completing your role/duties you will be required to host training sessions regularly in order to ensure that we are training our members to the best of their abilities. Moreover, you shall be expected to check up on our forts on a day-to-day basis therefore ensuring our servers are protected and are maintaining a mature and user-friendly atmosphere. Another job for the Directors of SR consist of observing the experienced ranks. When Directors are watching the experienced ranks training in order to earn Sp, they must continually change the experienced rank in charge every time a new simulation takes place, so if there are five simulations, there should be 5 experienced ranks who are observed (or as many who are in the server, and then the Director does the rest) - this is to allow them to gain Shadow Prestige. So we encourage all Directors that when hosting a training, they encourage experienced ranks to come to the training so they are also able to get something out of it.
-
[7]-Cabinet-]
[XIV] Overseer – [36Sp + Be chosen by the Chairman from the rank of Director] Overseers consist of those members who are the most trusted by the Chairman, these members each control one Department of Directors who each have specific roles to cover in order for Shadow Recon to remain functioning at it's maximum potential. As an Overseer within SR you should provide support to the Directors who are within your Department, explaining to them where they are able to improve. With this, you are still expected to host training sessions and checkup on our forts on a day-to-day basis ensuring everyone within the server is acting in a mature manner while trying to promote a user-friendly environment in order to keep the reputation of SR as high as possible. The departments for Overseers consist of the following:
-Department Of Internal Affairs -Department Of External Affairs -Department Of Innovation
Overseers are required to assist the Chairman in a number of tasks related to Shadow Recon which will benefit the members in as many ways as possible. The duties in which the Overseers cover ensures Shadow Recon is able to run smoothly at all times, these duties require the Overseers to stay in direct contact with the Chairman thus ensuring all decisions made are beneficial to the group. The roles of the Overseers include, but are not limited to:
-Regularly assisting the Chairman in monitoring Departments within Shadow Recon, ensuring all members, including Department Heads, are performing to the best of their ability. -To work beside the Chairman and Directors to ensure that the zero tolerance policy on corruption abides all times. -To assist the Chairman in selecting and managing all current Directors and Generals of Shadow Recon, ensuring each member is working to the best of their abilities at all times whilst on duty, whilst setting a high standard for SR at the same time. -To help manage each of the Departments, ensuring each Director is in the correct Department based on their abilities and that changes are made when needed. -To ensure all members are satisfied with their career within Shadow Recon and are gaining support where they feel it is most needed.
[XV] Chairman The Chairman of Shadow Recon manages/oversees all day-to-day actives within the clan. Furthermore, the Chairman is required to come up with new and unique ideas which will help benefit SR and it's members. Moreover, the Chairman ensures the well-being of each of the Directors and Overseers by providing them with support where it is required. With this, the Chairman runs the Department of Internal Affairs. Furthermore, the Chairman represents the people of SR. S/he is their ultimate icon, and stands strong by his/her people at all times, along with taking into account the opinions of everyone in SR, because s/he understands that a group such as SR is only as good as the members, and without the members, the leader would be nothing. The Chairman is not afraid to go down to the bottom ranks of SR and interact with them, as s/he believes that in order to gain a true understanding of what they are representing, s/he needs to first understand the members and all of their ideas, in order to make SR a place for everyone, and not just for those who have power. The Chairman will always be there for any member of SR to contact him/her so that advice can be offered along with support which will hopefully provide encouragement for those who need it. One thing that a successful Chairman must remember is that they were once a member of the lower ranks, and that now they have power they need to remember what it felt like to be so low, as this will help them to remember what they are representing. Rather than just making SR friendly for those with power, s/he will make it for everyone, by encouraging the SR values to be held high by everyone, and that no one is perfect, and we all make mistakes, but the key is to learn from them so you can have a second chance. The Chairman is able to appoint one General who will be completely unbiased.
-]]
[[[3]-Departmental Organization-]]]
Each major department will be ran by a Overseer, and will include a selection of minor departments obtaining Directors and their Generals. Departments within Shadow Recon are ran directly by the Overseers and then they are overseen by the Chairman. Each department focuses on one specific aspect of the clan, and this way it will be able to operate at it's maximum efficiency. Each department will also consist of the Generals of the Directors who are in said department, and therefore will provide support and help when needed to the duties of the department. If there is ever a case when a situation involves two or more departments then it should be handled directly by the Overseers, who will have more experience in cross-department matters, however this does not mean that Directors will not be able to help, as they will probably need as much man power as possible. Once you get selected as a General you will automatically be put on the route for the department which your Director is involved in, and if you feel that you would not fit in with that department, then you should get your Director to contact the Chairman who will try and sort the situation out, as we try to provide for as many people as possible, however this might not always be the case.

DoRP can run and collect ads, and use group funds to run them. Running the ad must be ran and approved by the IA Overseer. Reports directly to: [XIV] Overseer [DoIA]
-
[3]-External Affairs-] External Affairs in SR handle relations with other clans and work on combative skills used in defending our fort and raiding other forts. External Affairs members are representatives to other clans and are expected to work to their best ability. External Affair members can work on things such as warfare, defense training, diplomacy, and providing external information to the public of SR. Any member in EA can host other events such as trainings, raids, and also post forums related to SR.
[3a] Overseer [DoEA] The Overseer of External Affairs is the grand overseer of all external affair matters. This member helps to ensure we are in good contact with other clans, and all conflicts or situations with other clans are being dealt with appropriately. [4d] Manpower [DoMP] The Department of Manpower is a department which works to improve the community of SR, making it a more enjoyable place. DoMP also works to praise quality of a members work, giving members a little more to strive to achieve.
-
[5]-Department Generals-] A General in SR is meant to assist a Director with his/her job. Generals are responsible to do just as much work as their commanding officer (Director) does, and is required to follow all instructions given to them by their commanding officer. Directors ONLY help with the department that has hired them for help - for example, the General of Justice can not assist the Department of Clan Infrastructure. The General solely works for the commanding officer who has hired him/her. Keep in mind, there is a maximum of one (1) General per Director.
-
[6]-Conclusion-] In conclusion, we hope systems and departments are running efficiently and are being taken care of. It’s required each department member give his/her all in their work, and produce the best outcome they possibly can. Each HR helps SR in an incomparable amount. Keep in mind, there is a limit of one (1) Director per department, and very rarely do we go over that and accept two (2) per department. Any further questions can be sent to any Director+.
