I have read every single Blog post that is posted, every single day. Recently, a Blog post was posted that said users can now create their own Blog posts. So far, I don't think this has turned out so well.
First user made Blog post was by crazyman32, a well known ROBLOXian for creating games, and has won many awards. In his post, he was talking about Perilous Skies: New Horizons, a sequel to his already popular game, Perilous Skies.
A post after that was from litozinnamon and Spookyfox talking about their FPS games. Litozinnamon has created one of the most successful FPS games on ROBLOX, Call of Robloxia 5, and Spookyfox has made a new FPS called Authority, another great game.
Have you noticed that so far, the Blog posts have all been for already successful people trying to advertise their new games? I have not seen a "User created Blog post" from a totally unknown user yet. I know there are many people out there who deserve a Blog post about their game. I personally, am trying to get my Epic Adventure game featured in Blog for building and dynamic lighting. This is quite hard when all I see are ALREADY MADE games from groups like EBR being reposted on Blog.
Let's talk more about this.
A wider variety of Blog posts would be more helpful to the community, and would recognize more variety of games, and new ones that are fun to play. An example is GPR3's Abandoned Mine game. Of course, he is already quite the successful ROBLOXian, but even he is having trouble getting his game posted in Blog for dynamic lighting. I've played the game, and I believe it deserves a post on Blog for dynamic lighting. He can't do this, because people who are more famous than him, (Spookyfox, litozinnamon, crazyman32, and others) are posting THEIR own games on Blog. Unfair, or fair?
I believe the idea of having own users create Blog posts is a wonderful idea. However, I believe there must be a system in which this can occur.
1: The person who is creating Blog post, must create it perfectly, just like any ordinary Blog post would be.
2: This post will be sent to an actual Blog writer or ROBLOX administrator who reviews the post.
Let's say that on that specific day, 500 people submit a Blog post of their game.
3: The best Blog post is chosen, and is put on the ROBLOX Blog.
This is just an example, but there are other ways to do this. I'm sure that there is a system currently, but it will MOST LIKELY just recognize already famous users. The odds of a Blog post from a completely new user are slim, they are usually from older users, or more famous users.
I hope that this is taken into consideration in the future. Thank you.

I half agree.
The point of user-made blog posts would to assist other users in the development and creation of games. Honestly, I have to admit that CrazyMan32 did a pretty good job of that.
I do have to agree with you on some points though. I'm kind of tired of seeing the same people winning all the contests, people that I already know about. Not to mention the fact that I want to read about something OTHER THAN DEVELOPING GAMES.
For example, I submitted an article pitch about layering real-life images and editing them to create realistic games in ROBLOX, which they haven't written about much.
I'd really enjoy seeing some people that specialize in writing too, not just a bunch of game developers bragging about their games.

Yeah. I like how you put that, because that is how I feel.
And to your first paragraph about Crazyman32 doing a good job on it: He did, but here is the problem.
Crazyman32 did that as a way to show people his new game, which is kind of uncalled for. If you think about it, he has enough money to "run the ad system" for a day or two, and BAM his game will be on front page. There is no need to advertise on Blog. Thanks for support though. |

Thanks, I liked your thread to DarkGenex. Also, if anybody wants link to my game (One of reasons I started this thread because I would like it to get SOME attention), it is here:

Point taken!
Overall, I think people should just write tips without writing about their game. I mean, linking your game ONCE to show an example wouldn't hurt, but a whole article about it? Nty. |

I'm fine with games being uploaded on Blog, but not by the PERSON WHO MADE THE GAME! That is basically like running a free ad, where everybody can see it, and it charges you nothing.
I think that if a game is to be posted about in Blog, it has to be done by a ROBLOX Blog Writer, and not the person who made the game. That is what ROBLOX Reviews are for... |

He used his game as an example of showing people the steps of developing a game, I don't think he used it as advertising since he really doesn't need it.
Oh, and, reported for spam. |

In reply to your post, CM32's post was made for the steps of developing a game, it really wasn't about his game.

Yeah, but, as users, nobody wants to read through that. Every. Single. Day.
That is all the Blog posts are EVER. At least, it feels that way. I made this thread to help ROBLOX recognize that they need a wider variety of Blog posts, and to get it spread out to different users. It gets old when you see the same people with Blog posts. For example: Litozinnamon, Spookyfox, Crazyman32, Gusmanak, and others. |

The only one of those people to make a blog post was CM32, all the other's were just interviews with competing developers. It's a series called Crossfire.
